All details about UltraSonic

Ultrasonic humidifier function principle

Ultrasonic air humidifiers operate according to the principle of "ultrasonic atomization"

A 48 V alternating voltage is rectified on an atomizer PCB and converted into a high-frequency signal. This signal is transferred to an oscillator installed in the water bath, which converts it into a high-frequency mechanical oscillation. The integrated oscillators are referred to as thickness oscillators, which change their thickness 1.65 million times a second in line with the applied signal of 1.65 MHz.

Fig. 1: The humidifier is switched on. The oscillator amplitude is positive.
Fig. 2: The oscillator amplitude is negative. The inertia of the water creates a vacuum.
Fig. 3: After approx. 10 amplitudes, the ultrasonic humidifier reaches 100 % of its output.

ENS humidifiers for duct installation

Units from the STULZ UltraSonic ENS model series are available for use in ventilation and air conditioning systems. They can be installed in ventilation ducts, box-type units, and air conditioning units, for example. For the case of a direct installation in an air duct, no internal fan is required either – the airflow in the duct is all that is needed to transport the mist out of the humidifier. Tried and tested controller components ensure that the desired room humidity is precisely maintained. This industrial ultrasonic humidifier system is used in all properties where a ventilation system is installed, and where optimum humidity is essential for production, storage or the room climate.

BNB humidifiers for direct room humidification

Units from the STULZ UltraSonic BNB1000 A to BNB8000 A model series are especially suitable for direct room humidification. A fan integrated in the housing distributes the cold mist, which is generated in the water bath, around the room. Tried and tested controller components ensure that the desired room humidity is precisely maintained. This unit is used to humidify production rooms, computer rooms, storage facilities, printing plants, museums, restoration workshops, theaters, and many other areas in which optimum humidity is essential for production, storage or the room climate.

SCA and FN humidifiers for special applications requiring pinpoint humidification

STULZ UltraSonic SCA and FN humidifying systems were developed for special applications requiring pinpoint humidification. The SCA system features a universal distribution system, which is able to supply humidifying mist to fresh food counters and climatic chambers, for example. And the compact FN models were designed for installation in air conditioning units, laboratory cabinets, automated brewing systems, ventilation cabinets, etc.
